WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO RENT A CAR WITH CITYRENTCAR?
You must be at least 23 years old and have at least 3 years of driving experience. Documents required for concluding a lease agreement are a passport and a valid driving license of an international standard. However, if you have your information written in English on your driving license, it can work as well.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET GPS NAVIGATOR DURING THE TIME OF CAR RENTAL?
Of course. We do not want you to get lost. For $5 per day you will get a GPS navigator with the most detailed map of Georgia.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO RENT A CAR WITH CHILD SEAT?
Yes, the cost for child seat is $5 per day.
CAN I TRUST DRIVING OF THE RENTED CAR TO SOMEONE WHO TRAVELS WITH ME?
Of course. We perfectly understand that it is impossible to drive constantly for 7-10 days or if it is possible then you don’t have a vacation. Therefore, you can include to the rental agreement one or two additional drivers. The opportunity to relax will cost you $5 per person per day.
DO CITY RENT CAR AUTOMOBILES HAVE COMPANY DETAILS OR ADVERTISING STICKERS?
No, you will not look like a distributor and cars don’t look like being rented.
CAN THE RENTAL COMPANY REFUSE TO EXECUTE ALREADY CONFIRMED ORDER? IF SO, FOR WHAT REASONS?
Yes, City Rent Car reserves the right to cancel the order and refuse to issue the car to the customer. Without explanations. This happens rare and as a rule in situations where the tenant obviously does not make an impression of a person who can be trusted to drive a vehicle.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO RENT THE VEHICLE WITHOUT DEPOSIT?
Do not be surprised! People ask this kind of questions. Sometimes they even ask why it is needed and why it is necessary. First, the mortgage significantly reduces the cost of your insurance for the time of travel. However, there is, of course, our interest. You will know that any damage to the vehicle provided to you, any violation of the rules fixed by video cameras would reduce the amount that we can return to you at the return of the car. Therefore, you will be more careful with car and while driving. The amount of deposit is $200. For luxury cars and SUVs - $300.
WHAT IS THE LIMIT OF THE RENTAL MILEAGE?
There is no limit and no restrictions on the mileage, which you will have time to get. An exception is the case when the car is rented for 1 or 2 days. The daily mileage under these conditions should not exceed 150 km. But this rule can be violated, if you pay 0.5 lari per kilometer.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE FEE FOR CAR RENTAL?
Fee for the car rental includes: the right to limit liability for car damage (CDW), limitation of liability for car theft (TP), limitation of liability to third parties (TPL); Free parking in Tbilisi.
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO PAY FOR EXCEPT THE RENT AMOUNT IF I RENT A CAR IN GEORGIA?
You don’t need to pay anything extra. All you need to pay is 100% payment for the entire period and the deposit amount and you can do it when you pick up the car. The minimum rental period is 24 hours.
CAN I PICK UP THE CAR AT THE HOTEL? HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
When you get to Tbilisi, you get to the "City Rent Car" Zone of privileges. Car can be delivered to any address for free*! In addition, you do not even have to visit our office for paperwork. Attention!! If necessary, the rented car will wait for you at Tbilisi airport. Our representative will meet you holding a sign with your name. * Free delivery and return of the car to the address within Tbilisi occurs renting for a period of 3 days or more. If the rental period is 1-2 days, you can pick up and drop off a car for free at our office in the center of Tbilisi during working hours. Or for an additional fee at the address at any time of the day.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PREPARE DOCUMENTS AND GIVE OUT A CAR?
Before you receive the keys and documents, you will be introduced to the rules of using the rental car. In addition, you will have to sign the act of primary inspection of the car for the already existing damages. However, this will not take much time - the maintenance department of "CityRentCar" carefully monitors the condition of the leased cars. The lease agreement is concluded on the spot. Usually it takes no more than 15 minutes.
DO YOU HAVE DISCOUNTS FOR PERMANENT CUSTOMERS?
Yes. As soon as you return our car and voice the intention to rent a car from us for your next trip, you will be given a discount code that provides a discount of $5 per day from the rate for renting any car from "CityRentCar" fleet. And within the year you will be able to use the code yourself or give it to anyone you want.

PICK UP / RETURN AND EXPLOITATION RULES

CAN BE THE RETURN OF THE CAR DELAYED?
First of all, the word "delay" here is not entirely appropriate. You are not a rally participant and you do not have to "cross the finish line". You can return the car the same way you picked it up, meaning anywhere and anytime. But if you wanted to get to mentioned return point and you are late, in this case you have “gap hour” which is used to to prepare the car for the next tenant. If you are able to return it within that hour, you will not need to pay extra. In any case you need to warn us about delay at least 6 hours before the expiration of the rental period. If you delay for a longer period of time, you will be charged the usual fee: from 1 to 3 hours - half the cost of renting your car per day, if more than 3 hours, you have to pay full fee for one more day of rent completely.
ARE ANIMALS ALLOWED IN THE CARS OF CITYRENTCAR?
ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN! Many of our regular customers come to Georgia primarily because of the beneficial effects of curative mountain air on the respiratory system. And such a questionable "bonus", like an allergic attack, will in this case be quite inappropriate.
CAN I SMOKE IN THE RENTED CAR?
NO! Smoking is prohibited in our cars
IN WHICH CONDITION THE CAR NEEDS TO BE RETURNED?
In the same as in which you received it. It should be functional in all respects, including air conditioning and audio system, and clean inside and outside. Remember that the inspection for compliance with the existing damages by what was recorded in the act when you were provided with a vehicle cannot be done until the car is washed. CAN I PROLONG THE RENTAL TERM?

IS IT POSSIBLE TO DRIVE OUT ON A RENTED CAR BEYOND THE BORDERS OF GEORGIA?
It is assumed that you are taking a car for travel in our country. Crossing border to Armenia, Russian Federation, Turkey, Azerbaijan and as well as to occipied territories of Abkhazia and South Ossetia is strictly prohibited. Please, consider this while planning your routes.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IN CASE OF TROUBLES WITH RENTED CAR?
The probability of failure of the car, which we provide to the client for rent is minimal. Our technical service cares about this and, judging by everything, does a good job. However, we also envisage such cases. In your copy of the lease agreement, you will find the emergency telephone number, which you can call any time. In addition, according to the situation, either you will be helped to fix the problem on the spot, or you will be provided with a replacement car of the same class.
WHAT ARE THE COMPANY RULES I HAVE TO RESPECT?
The instructions that you receive when concluding a lease agreement are as follows: You are liable for violation of the lease rules and insurance conditions. You are prohibited from using a rented car for commercial purposes (transportation) or leaving it on bail. It is categorically forbidden to drive a car in a state of alcoholic or narcotic intoxication, and also to check it "for durability" in conditions of "off-road" (heavy off-road). No one, of course, imposes a duty on you to stay on the road all the time, but to try it off road is forbidden. Penalty for violation is the amount of the deposit. Any damage caused to the car due to its improper operation will be paid from deposit. Therefore, we expect you to treat our car as your own.
WHERE, WHEN AND HOW CAN I PICK UP AND THEN RETURN THE VEHICLE?
You can take and return the car whenever and wherever you want. By default, anywhere in our country, at any time of the day and night. As usual, our customers order delivery of cars to the Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi International Airports, as well as to one of the checkpoints: Upper Lars, Sarpi, Sadakhlo, Red Bridge. However, if you want to first determine the route of the proposed trip, and you don’t need the car immediately upon arrival, we will deliver it to your hotel in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi or any other place, like to the house of friends, who host you or simply anywhere you want. And you don’t need to return the care at the pick up point.
WHAT IF I LOSE KEYS OR DOCUMENTS FOR A RENTED CAR?
The deposit amount will be smaller by $100 when returned to you.

INSURANCE AND ACCIDENTS QUESTIONS.

IS THE CAR WHICH I WILL RENT IN THE CITY RENT CAR INSURED?
Yes, all the cars of "CityRentCar" are insured on the principle of "CASCO" and "OSAGO". The deductible is the deposit you made $200 or $300. The car, the driver, the passengers, the third person are insured. The insurance "CASCO" does not cover the damage deliberately caused to the car's interior (damage to the seats, upholstery, torpedo, etc.), and does not apply to damage to tires, side mirrors, exterior accessories. Any damage caused to a car or passengers when driving in conditions of severe off-road, doesn’t apply to insurance and is not covered. The same goes for driving in a state of intoxication: you will have to pay 100% of the amount, which will cost the car repair, and fully compensate the injured.
INSURANCE «SUPERCOVER»
When renting a car in City Rent Car, you can use the insurance "SUPERCOVER". This is a paid service that allows you to reduce the liability to zero, and do not leave deposit for the car. The possibility to use "SUPERCOVER" is provided when renting a car for a period of more than 3 days and is paid at a rate of $20 per day. The maximum amount for the entire term of the lease is $140. The "SUPERCOVER" insurance does not apply to cases resulting from direct violation of the instructions received when concluding a lease agreement: the failure of the car due to the use of poor quality gasoline, damage to interior trim, loss of keys, documents for the car or additional accessories - GPS navigator, child seat, etc. Important! When the car is damaged externally, the "SUPERCOVER" insurance will not come into force until the police officers and the insurance agent of the company have officially registered the damages in the protocol. And, it does not have to be an accident. These rules apply to any scratch received, let’s say, when leaving the parking lot. If you just leave it, the specific case will not be fixed, and you will have to pay for repairs. This is exactly the situation when you need to sacrifice time to save money, so wait for police officers and insurance agent to arrive.
WHAT TO DO IF I HAD A CAR ACCIDENT ON THE RENTED CAR?
Well, it happens. Car rental exists almost as much as cars themselves, and you will not be the first person to have an accident in a rented car. We hope that you are ready for such cases as we are. And now let’s see what follows: First, you should make sure that the worst is already behind, and neither you nor the passengers who were in the car at the time of the accident are ok. Do not panic, the car is insured. Call us at +995 577 415 777. The manager of "CityRentCar" will help you in all matters that may arise. Then everything is the same as if you were traveling in your car in your country: call the police (112), notify the insurance company (+995 322 505 111), and make sure that everything was done in accordance with the existing rules. Pay special attention to the correctness of the description of the damages received by the car. Do not sign the protocol, if something in it leaves you in doubt. Attention! A police officer is required to check you for the presence of alcohol in the blood. The act on this verification should be included in the list of documents provided to the insurance company. Insurance is invalid without it! Remember: in any situation, we are on your side. Therefore, you should not try to "cheat" us, hiding even the minor damages the car has received. We will note and take measures from the deprivation of the deposit amount to the legal action. Unfortunately, a certain percentage of tourists coming to another country to rest, consider it permissible to be disrespectful to the laws and regulations of hosting country. Keep in mind: if it turns out that you were drunk at the moment of the accident, we do not lift a finger to help you out. The insurance company will take the same position. All responsibility for the incident will fall on you. If all documents are collected correctly, the worst thing that threatens you in the event of an accident or partial damage to the car is the loss of deposit. If the car is “destroyed” (total loss), then you have to pay a penalty of $ 1000 for a car with an engine to 2.0, and $ 1500 for a car with an engine from 2.1 and above, as well as all fines associated with the car accident (car evacuation fee, payment for the penalty parking and so on.).
